Todd Piker’s wood-fired kiln produces pottery with a rustic elegance. Languid streams of blue wind gracefully around his latest creation. A slightly flared mouth opens wide and a tapered waist sits easily between your hands. Like the course of an ever-changing river, patterns will vary.

Potter
Todd Piker developed his craft the old-fashioned way -- at the side of master potter Michael Cardew as part of a two-year apprenticeship in England, where Todd learned how to absorb and assimilate diverse influences, from the Orient to Africa to Europe. Today, as owner of Cornwall Bridge Pottery in Connecticut, Todd spends his time weaving folk art inspirations into a complex tapestry whose results look as good in your hutch as they do on your table.
